Message from the Pastor:

Thank you for visiting the Lee Park Baptist Church website.

We have a motto here, "Preach the Word and Love People".  It is the way we try to operate at Lee Park and I pray you experienced that today.

As the Pastor, I must "Preach the Word".  It is the infallible, inerrant, inspired Word given to us by our Lord.  The Bible is filled with the information we need about how to live and how to serve Him.  In 2 Timothy 4: 1-2 we find the charge to - "Preach the Word!"  It is a charge I take seriously and it is my promise to all those who are members and visitors at Lee Park - I will "Preach the Word".

In that passage, Paul also tells Timothy to do so with "great patience and instruction".  The Word of God is something we must stand on with great firmness - but we must be sensitive to people who are hearing the Word.  Other translations use the word "longsuffering" to describe the way we need to treat people who are learning about the truth of scripture.  At Lee Park, we have taken that charge and made it a church-wide mission to "Love the People".  The Bible will convict us of our sin and show us our need for a Savior.  It is our job to move in as a church and pick people up and show them the love of Christ.  We can (and we must) stand strong on our beliefs and still be a loving church.

Preach the Word and Love People,
Pastor Chris Justice
